Not so long ago, we received the news about a new game in development at FromSoftware. Today, Hidetaka Miyazaki mentioned that the upcoming project, which has been in the works for six years, is almost done! The director of ELDEN RING has everyone waiting for a name, a genre, anything, but everything we know so far is that the IP is in the final stages of development.
During an interview with 4Gamer, Miyazaki confirmed that one of the games he had been working on and talking about since 2018 is about to see the light. That same year, he revealed that three and a half games were in process:
“There are 3.5 lines that have been in the works since that time,” Miyazaki said. “0.5 is Déraciné, 1.0 is Sekiro, and the remaining 2.0 are unannounced titles. It’s not the right time to talk about them in detail, but I think they are both games that are typical of us. It will take a little more time, but I think we can tell you about them one by one as they take shape.”
During that time, we didn’t know it, but one of the titles in the case was the widely popular ELDEN RING. There are still two and a half IPs that remain a mystery. Earlier this year, a consumer survey suggested that one of these anonymous games could be Armored Core 6. It’s still not a fact if this will be the IP Miyazaki was talking about. But now that we know it is in its final stage, we can count on having a confirmed title soon.
