A couple of days ago, we learned that a new creature was coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Back then, we only knew its name is Grafaiai, but that was it. Unfortunately, the official Pokémon Twitter account messed with us a bit, claiming that this creature was sneaky and took time to catch a good glimpse of it.
So far, all we could see from it were paint marks that it left all around Paldea. Until today.
A new tweet surfaced on Pokémon’s account with brand-new footage of Grafaiai. The post reads: “We’ve been lucky enough to obtain a video from the Paldea photographer, documenting his unique experience observing Grafaiai.”
We have something truly amazing to share with you, Trainers!

A follow-up post also revealed that Grafaiai is a Poison/Normal Pokémon (the paint could’ve been a telltale sign for the poison feature.) This Pokémon specializes in using its poisonous saliva—which changes color depending on what the Pokémon eats—to attack foes by spitting at them or by slashing at them after coating its claws with the saliva.

Grafaiai has joined a list of brand-new Pokémon that will be exclusive to the Paldea region. Some of them are Pawmi, Lechonk, Cetitan, and of course, the starters Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly.
