NCSoft has announced Project LLL, an open-world third-person shooter with MMO elements in development for unspecified consoles and PC, due out during 2024.
What do we know about this title?
The developers let it be known that they want to create something new than the usual shooter looter or battle royale. The team is working to ensure that this original IP integrates shooter, MMO, and Open World elements, and different ways of playing are being studied. In general, there will be a lot of focus on the mentioned aspects and exploration, with a map that will have an estimated size of more than 30 square kilometers.
Project LLL (the title is tentative) is a Sci-Fi game set in a destroyed world, and we will be visiting various historical eras between the past and the future. The authors cite Dune and work by Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov's Foundation, Blade Runner, Total Recall (Act of Strength), and The Man in the High Castle as sources of inspiration.

Project LLL is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and is expected to be launched in 2024 on PC and consoles. The target platforms have not been disclosed; we will probably know more over the next year.
