If some clues uncovered on Ubisoft Connect already hinted at the imminent arrival of Assassin's Creed Valhalla on Steam, here it is that Roller Champions has also been spotted in Valve's platform database.
Although to date there has been no official statement from the transalpine company, the various sightings in recent months suggest that the company is intent on totally reopening itself to Steam.
Would this benefit the company?
In the case of Roller Champions, we are, moreover, talking about a title that has failed to capture a particularly large slice of the user base, and a debut on a platform as busy as Steam could benefit Ubisoft's sports title in no small measure.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla, on the other hand, is a title that has enjoyed unprecedented success for the series, and it drove Ubisoft's revenues during the last financial quarter. A Steam launch could capture users interested in the series but who have not yet dived into Eivor's Norse adventure since it is limited to Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store.
In case you missed it: Splatoon 3 “Chill Season” arrives December 1.
All this could set the stage for the future launch of Assassin's Creed Mirage, expected during 2023, and all major Ubisoft-branded productions that we will see in the coming months. We have to wait for any official comments from Yves Guillemot's company.
